Pioneering Renewable Energy in Balochistan
In the past two years, IDSP has taken bold steps toward transforming Balochistan’s energy landscape. We are proud to be the first organization to initiate work on renewable energy in the region, recognizing its vital role in sustainable development.
Our efforts began with a critical gap: the lack of primary data on Balochistan’s electrification. In response, our dedicated team—including researchers with
specialized degrees in Renewable Energy (since 2023)—began extensive fieldwork to assess the region’s potential.
This culminated in the publication of our groundbreaking report:
“Balochistan’s Renewable Energy Assessment”, the first of its kind to map the province’s renewable energy prospects.
